Behind every material is a body of knowledge carried by skilled hands. My interactions with craftsmen and artisans during practice have deeply shaped how I approach architecture. Working alongside them has given me insight into the nuances of design from a construction and fabrication point of view.
I see detail not as an afterthought, but as a site of negotiation between material behavior, technique, and intent. Through this thinking I move fluidly between speculation, drawing, modeling, prototyping, and building.
